Cubist Portraits

 
Cubism
We learned about Cubism this month in Art. Cubism was a movement that began in France in the early 20th Century by Spanish artist Pablo Picasso and French artist Georges Braque. We looked at some of their work. Cubism is art that is broken apart” and the pieces can be viewed from all sides. We looked at the "Weeping Woman" by Picasso and then drew our own Cubist Portraits where the face has different angles. Picasso’s cubism was about seeing two sides of something at the same time.
